Law Suit Over a Facebook Page

Katherine Evans is sueing her former principal over a Facebook page. When Ms. Evans went to Pembroke Pines Charter High School she made a Facebook page slashing her English teacher. After a couple days she deleted the Facebook page. Two months after that she was called into the principal's office where she was told that she was suspended for the page. Katherine Evans is hoping to get the suspension off her permanent record and a "nominal fee" for "violation of her First Amendment rights".

  1. Grade: 7.5/10
    Mistake
    • Misspelled suing
    • Don't use courtesy titles like "Ms." in a news story
    • You can't "slash" an English teacher. You slash with a knife.
    • After using her whole name the first time you mention her, you should then refer to her by her last name only.
    • Period should be inside the quotation mark
