Story #3

You can never be too careful; especially women. Michele Schipper was pulling up to the convenience store on Bonneville Drive yesterday at 4 O’clock when a man come up and demanded that she give him her purse. When she was reaching for her purse she noticed that he was getting loser so she took defensive action She kicked him in the groin, then she roundhouse kicked him in the nose because she was afraid he wouldn’t stay down on the ground. After that she got in her car and drove to the motel down the street where she called the cops.
“I didn’t think anything, really, you know. I just reacted” says Michele. There were no witnesses and when the police got there the guy was gone. It just goes to show that even in broad daylight we need to be careful.

  1. That is a good story. I liked the lead-in,that piqued my interest to read the rest of it. I thought you had good placement of the quote too.

  2. Good story. A bit short though. Also, you should make sure you read over your story closer and yuo will catch things like "was getting loser so..." should that really be loser? Also, 4 o'clock. I'm not sure if thats right. Shouldn't it be 4 a.m. or p.m.? I also think it read a bit like conversation, it seemed a bit too causal for a news story.

  3. There were a couple minor errors I saw in your story. Like instead of "a man come up", it should have been "man came up". Nothing all that major though. Overall it was an interesting story, and really shows how amazing people can act in scary situations.
