Enterprise story
The enterprise story that I am picking is about the Anoka-Ramsey Community College parking lots. Specifically the Coon Rapids campus. I know a number of students that have "complained" about these parking lots and how they are laid out. The people I will be interviewing will be a number of students. Some examples are Sarah Gustafson and Dolly Phillips just to name a few. I think this would make a good story because the parking lots effect pretty much everyone because they have to get to school some way or another.

Great idea, I know personally how hard it can be sometimes to manuever throughout them, cars are always seeming to zip down the long roads, with total ignorance to others on the road... it would be a good idea to try and interveiw the groundskeeper or someone like that as well.. maybe campus security?
ReplyDeleteYeah really great idea! I agree that the parking lots are laid out really confusing. I know my first day at ARCC I couldn't find a parking spot for a while and ended up being late to class. I then found out there was another parking lot. Yeah I felt a little stupid!!=)

I have definitely had troubles with parking. I also known lots of students who have complained about the parking. (We go to the Coon Rapids Campus). So yeah, it is definitely an issue that students are well aware of.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea! I forgot how much of a pain it can be to find a good parking spot. Like others, I too have found myself late to class because there weren't any spot left. Sometimes I had to park on the streets blocks away from campus! This story will definitely interest many students.
ReplyDeleteI think this is an awesome topic! This will interest students because I am sure they have experienced it themselves! I have not been able to find parking spots when I was on campus and I can tell you, it sure is frustrating!
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the best topics I have seen. ARCC is so populated and if you have a class after 9 A.M., you have to walk a half mile just to get to class and is very frustrating.
ReplyDeleteI must be in the minority here. I've never had a problem parking. I used to have one class on campus in Coon Rapids and one other class at the Holistic Healing building. I didn't have early classes. Sounds like an issue a lot of people would like resolved.

ReplyDeleteRemember to interview more than simply students. Pull in quotes and information from a variety of sources, including administration.
